Update: lowest recorded price and shipping data in search results

HandheldGameConsole.com now shows Lowest Recorded values directly in the search results table. These new columns give you a quick way to compare current offers with prices recorded in the past and get a better sense of whether the current price is actually attractive.

LR means Lowest Recorded. The new columns cover three values: SKU price, shipping cost, and price plus shipping. For each value, there is one column based on the live SKUs included in the current search result and another based on all known SKUs for the product, including live SKUs excluded from the current result by filters, as well as discontinued SKU versions.

The first pair of columns is LR SKU Price and LR SKU Price - All SKUs.

Lowest Recorded SKU Price columns in HandheldGameConsole.com search results
LR SKU Price shows the lowest recorded SKU price among the live SKUs included in the current search result, while LR SKU Price - All SKUs looks across all known SKUs, including live SKUs excluded from the current result by filters, as well as discontinued SKU versions.

LR SKU Price is the lowest SKU price previously recorded among the live SKUs included in the current search result. LR SKU Price - All SKUs looks across all known SKUs for the product, including live SKUs excluded from the current result by filters, as well as discontinued SKU versions.

The same idea applies to shipping. LR Shipping Cost shows the lowest recorded shipping cost among the live SKUs included in the current search result, while LR Shipping Cost - All SKUs looks across all known SKUs for the product, including live SKUs excluded from the current result by filters, as well as discontinued SKU versions.

The new shipping columns make it easy to compare the current shipping cost with the lowest shipping values recorded in the past.

There are also LR Price + Shipping and LR Price + Shipping - All SKUs columns. These are often the most useful values when evaluating a deal because they take both the item price and shipping cost into account instead of looking at either one separately. LR Price + Shipping is based on the live SKUs included in the current search result, while LR Price + Shipping - All SKUs looks across all known SKUs for the product, including live SKUs excluded from the current result by filters, as well as discontinued SKU versions.

Lowest Recorded Price plus Shipping columns in HandheldGameConsole.com search results
LR Price + Shipping shows the lowest recorded price-plus-shipping values, making it easy to compare the current offer with historical data at a glance.

These columns are especially useful together with the existing search filters. For example, you can filter results by words in the model or variant name and then sort by any LR column. This makes it possible to quickly scan similar offers, compare current prices with their recorded lows, and identify listings that may be worth a closer look.

The LR values should be treated as a fast historical reference rather than automatic proof that the exact item currently shown once sold at that price. Sellers can change their listings over time. The same SKU ID may previously have represented a different console model, bundle, accessory, protective case, bag, or another product. If that happens, an old minimum recorded for the SKU may not describe the item that the SKU represents today.

This matters even for LR columns based on the live SKUs included in the current search result, and it is especially important when using the - All SKUs columns. These columns look across a broader set of SKUs, including live SKUs excluded from the current result by filters, as well as discontinued SKU versions. An unusually low historical value may therefore come from a SKU that is not visible in the current search result, or from an older SKU version that represented a different configuration or even a different type of product.

For that reason, the LR columns work best as a fast way to find interesting results and decide which listings deserve a closer look. If an LR value looks unusually low, especially in an - All SKUs column, it is a good idea to open the product and inspect its SKU results before treating that value as directly comparable with the current offer.

The SKU results table for each individual product has also been expanded to make this kind of research easier. It now includes Lowest Recorded SKU Price, Lowest Recorded Shipping Cost, and Lowest Recorded Price + Shipping columns, along with a Show other live and discontinued SKU versions button.

These tools let you inspect individual SKU versions in more detail, see their lowest recorded values, and check other live or discontinued versions associated with the product. This makes it easier to determine whether an unusually low value in the main search results is relevant to the SKU you are looking at now, comes from another live SKU excluded by the current filters, or comes from a discontinued SKU version in the product's history.

You can read more about the new SKU-level lowest recorded values in this article, and learn how to inspect other live and discontinued SKU versions in this article.

Together, the new LR columns and the expanded SKU history tools should make it much faster to spot potentially good prices, put current offers into historical context, and take a closer look at the most interesting listings before buying.
